Moldovan Eugeniu Olan jailed for 7ยฝ years for breaking into the home of a 91-year-old woman and sexually assaulting her just five months after he arrived in Ireland. No deportation order was given.
Moldova isn't in the EU but they are able to acquire Romanian passports very easily. They can move here. You can't move there.
Omitted in the anti-Irish Times is that Olan is a heroin addict who specialised in breaking into hospitals and used the same brute force method in Waterford. In Sept 2018 Italian police caught him. He was placed under house arrest pending investigation and trial.
He moved to Ireland because he could.
