They also want to charge solar grid tied system people an additional $25 a month extra “to cover the cost of providing service to low usage customers.” Wait wasn’t that what the min bill is for???

Folks as power companies are changing these grid tied rules you are better off to simply install a system with batteries that doesn’t sell power. Just use the grid to charge batteries if you need a little energy.

A cowboy friend of mine, half my age, but already twice the man has a saying. He says it a lot.

That's a lesson I wish I'd learned at his age.

A local guy came by yesterday to consult about his solar setup. He revealed to me that he’d been connecting the pv wires inside a jbox and had stabbed himself in the finger with 360vdc.

The solution for this is to disconnect any two panels in the string, do the work and then reconnect them.
