Florida is one state where you are required to be connected to power. That means a monthly minimum bill. They also want to charge solar grid tied system people an additional $25 a month extra “to cover the cost of providing service to low usage customers.” Wait wasn’t that what the min bill is for???

Folks as power companies are changing these grid tied rules you are better off to simply install a system with batteries that doesn’t sell power. Just use the grid to charge batteries if you need a little energy.
