Couldn't get people to stop using water today. I kept getting an alarm on my water pump telling me it was running too long (or too frequently). Couldn't get wife to stop doing laundry, then daughter showered and did laundry...... pump is short cycling. Finallly got the damn washing machine stopped, drained the house and charged the pressure tank bladder to 35psi.
But the water pump is still cycling. Found that one of the frost proof spigots on the porch is leaking. Seems a hose was left connected and it didn't drain. damn it. Simple task to valve off the ring of water serving the porch.
The good news in all of this is now I can see via home assistant that my water pump running for less than 1minute means the pressure tank needs a recharge. The pump seems to run for 5-1/2 minutes when the pressure tank is set properly. It is a 100gallon tank.

I asked this question as I did an experiment today...
I like refried beans but I am one of few in my house and a can will go to waste as I will generally only eat about half a can... So what I did today was throw a cup of pinto beans and two cups of water in an instant pot for 45 minutes... I then took all the beans including what liquid was left and pureed them I added a little spice and then started the process of dehydration... Everything I read said 8 hours however at five hours they were already done... I crushed the consistency to a fine powder and from the many different instructions I read I will just add hot water to the powder and maybe microwave them to heat them further... I did all this so I can make less and still have what I love... When I reconstitute some I will give you a follow up...

Well the propane service guy came by and I told him we got things straightened out with his regional manager... they are covering the lost propane. Then I told him parts coming in tomorrow for the magnetic sensor to stream the tank level to my wifi. He ended up giving me one of the needle indicator assemblies that has. the mount for the sensor on it. nice.

Interesting use of a 8 or 10" sewer connector.... needs bearings and seals. The concept is good, their execution is poor.

Forestry coming to burn 170 acres today. I got one more strip of firebreak to plow before they start. Yeah, they also bringing dozers and they are gunna double check my homework. Anyway the last strip is to segregate a 20 acre bermuda field.
