The busy season is well underway, everything from taxes to gardening gets piled on this time of year it seems. Leaves me with no time to post! I do want to share with y'all a nice greenhouse setup I recently built for a family from my church. Came out great and really simple to put together!
Construction: Weed blocker base (cut open on the inside of the beds for healthy roots), 2x8 raised bed with center walkway and 16ft cattle panels curved over the top and secured to each side. I plan to mulch the spaces between beds and through the center isle. After that we cover with GH plastic and plant! Going to have a bountiful harvest Im sure.

I learned a valuable obvious lesson recently. We are doing bucket gardening, and I use drip emitters on a timer to water the buckets. Our plants weren’t looking so good but I noticed that the water was running out the bottom of the buckets each morning. My wife began to sprinkle water from the hose all over the plants and dirt in the buckets and the plants began to thrive. It seems that the drip emitters were only wetting the soil directly under them, maybe a quarter inch diameter column of soil. The water ran straight out the bottom of the bucket and did not spread to any of the other soil. Hope this helps someone. - WJ
Learning a lot this week about Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4 or LFP) batteries. It takes 4, 8 or 16 of them to make a 12v,24v or 48v battery. You’ve got to balance them. This means making sure that each cell has the same voltage on it. For example, if you want a 13.2v battery, each cell should have 3.3v. In reality you might have 3.2v 3.2v, 3.2 and 3.6v. I thought it would be a simple matter of temporarily hooking all the cells in parallel for a few hours and letting them all average out to 3.3v each. So I took them apart and hooked them up in series so that they added to 13.2v (actually 52.8v (~48v) in my case).

One detail about these cells... they are very non-linear at the bottom and top ends of their charge. This means that once they get to 2.8v the voltage drops of QUICKLY. And on the top end, once the voltage gets above 3.4v they start rising QUICKLY. You can put a hundred amps in them forever and they hardly change from 3.2 to 3.3 v when charging.... but whoa nelly when one of them gets to 3.4 or 3.5v it’s voltage shoots up like a rocket.

So I balanced my cells at 3.3v and started charging the entire pack to a desired voltage of 55.2v. As I got near to 55v, one cell shot up from 3.4 to 3.7v. So my BMS shut down the charger and started draining that one cell back to 3.55v. Then it would enable charging the battery pack again... rinse lather repeat... this has gone on for hours and I’m just going to leave it running until tomorrow afternoon and see where we are at. Last I saw, there was a 2nd cell that was starting to shoot up like a rocket too... my hope is to synchronize all of them so they all rise rapidly in lockstep.
And so it continues.... shortages. Have you checked your animal feed lately? No rabbit, hog, or fish feed at any local tractor supply. My local off brand ag supply store says they order feed and it simply doesn’t come in.

Don't forget, the cock sucker crytpo heeb Bill Gates is the single largest land owner of agricultural grade farm land in the United States.

His buddies are following suit.

This is after they announced a big plan to literally shoot stuff into the atmosphere to block out the sun in order to "prevent global warming", as we enter a period of grand solar minimum in our cycle.

They already have the money, power and control is the goal.
