Today we decided to clean out the incubators. There was a good deal of biological material in the water tray and the splash shield under the egg turners. We bought 3 of these recently and they are listed as 55 egg incubators. The older version is 56 eggs. The one missing egg is because they moved the rocking motor. The newer design that only holds 55 eggs is superior. I did have to take it apart to clean it and rerouted the wires for the humidity sensor to make it easier to take apart next time.

My wife woke me up last night because she heard coyotes. We both went out with the rifle scope and thermal spotting scope and I saw them well off the property in the brush. I didn't shoot them and we never heard them yipping while we were on the porch at 3am.

Fast forward to today and we found they killed two of our newly hatched chicks. So I put out a foot trap and baited it with one of the dead bird's remains. I moved the IR driveway alerter to where that trap is so we'll hear it in the bed room. Now we wait.....

A few months ago we got a guardline solar driveway alarm. You can pair the transmitters with more than one receiver and you can pair 16 transmitters to any one receiver. The receiver has a 12v switched output and a dry contact. It’ll play a little music for each transmitter. The units have a 1/4 mile range. I’ve got them tied into my home automation system in addition.

Last week I discovered I had programmed my inverter to try to export more power than the wiring was rated for. Whoops... Here I'm exporting 14.6kw over wiring intended for 12kw. Today I'm exporting 12.5kw as a limit. The fans havent even come on in the inverters yet.

Here's the same graph from today.... you can see at 12:45 I lowered the amps limit once again.

What a problem to have.... too much power to export.

19.5kw of panels feeding 16kw of inverters / chargers. I can charge my batteries with 16kw but only export 12.5...or 13kw.

Another parallel system is presently exporting an additional 5kw directly to the grid. That'll soon get upped to 8kw as soon as the metal building company comes and fixes my barn roof. Then I can install 40 275w panels on that roof.
