Just to share a memory of mine. Back in 1989 hurricane Hugo hit Charleston South Carolina. And that time I was living with my girlfriend in the apartments and we had nothing when our apartment was flooded. We had heard on the radio that you could get food stamps at the local Department of Social Services office. We showed up about five in the morning and there was already a line. About 7 AM A deuce and a half truck showed up a bunch of national guardsmen got out of the back of the truck a formed a semi circle with weapons at low ready facing the crowd. A bureaucrat then appeared from their crowd and began to tell us we were in the wrong place. We had to go a mile down the road to the local elementary school, and get the food stamps there. Many in the crowd who have been there the longest were the most reluctant to leave in the ones who had recently arrived in line had nothing to lose and left for the school. When we arrived at the school we found it we had to register and fill out forms at the school. And then go back to the original location to actually be given the food stamps. It would’ve been easier to have done everything at that one location but our benevolent government wanted to disrupt the order of the line of people waiting for food stamps… Needing help.

I also remember from that time at the river and Billy Graham donated/provided more house trailers and RVs than the US government. My father was a truck driver and I have been to a military installation the south east corner of Atlanta and seen thousands of single white house trailers which were visually used in the aftermath of Katrina I think. But the government could not be bothered to provide those to us in 1989.
Why should you prep? I hope these two personal stories will open your eyes and the government will not save you. As a matter of fact the government may become an antagonist to you.w

Not long ago, this channel was inexplicably banned without warning or reason. It really hit home that a channel such as this, dedicated to spreading knowledge and information pertaining to off-grid living, could be targeted for banning. They really do want us all completely dependent on (((their))) system and information. Fortunately, we have some great people here on Telegram who have supported and continue to support this channel. I couldn't do it without you guys:

@boogaloointel
Great group of guys run this channel. They cover everything from current affairs to bushcraft skills, give them a sub if you haven't already.

@lotlmain
Run by one man actively out in the field, he may not post regularly as such is the life of a bushcrafter, but he makes great content and definitely worth subscribing.

@hederashomestead
The admin here has been afk for some time now, busy with life. Still lots of great resources on this mysterious channel that came out of nowhere!

@practicalinformation
Great admin, the channel name speaks for itself, lots of real world applicable information here that I think anyone will find helpful. Go subscribe and get them over 4k!

@awakengoyim
You will find a lot of content here from memes to occasional survival topics. Go check it out and give them a sub

@BoogieWoogieShit
Last but certainly not least, Snake Pit has been there supporting our channel for quite some time. They were unfortunately caught in the ban wave as well. Great mix of meme content, interesting videos, news and survival topics. Head over and subscribe

And finally, thank you to all the awesome subscribers who share this information and give feedback, we all love hearing from you! If I happened to miss any channels, I encourage you to introduce your channel in the chat, or DM myself or other admins.

Hope you all are having a wonderful Easter and have the opportunity to spend the day with family. God bless

Just picked up some scionwood off a pear tree. If you're in zone 7, this is probably your last chance to do so this year.

The end buds will tend to leaf out first. It's OK to take a piece that's leafing, but it won't keep long in the fridge before you have to graft it.

Wide node spacing is easiest for doing whip grafting. Some people don't like to graft from scionwood taken from watersuckers, as you sometimes get the rootstock or a weird mutant from them. I've never had a problem with it, but I use watersuckers from low branches, not the base of the tree. On older trees, they might be the only bit of last year's growth vigorous enough to be graftable.

Buds such as on the left sample are starting to leaf and should be grafted in a few days. Buds on the right sample are still dormant, and can be kept in the fridge for a month.

You want to collect your samples after you've had some warm days, but before the leafing gets going. That way, the sap is running, and there's a lot of sugars in the branches to help the graft take.

Take your scionwood with a regular pruning tool, and, as usual, sterilize it prior to each cut.

Ideally, your samples should be about the thickness of a pencil. That never happens. A little smaller is just fine, but the thinner you go, the less likely it is for the graft to take.

Wrap singly in wetted and thoroughly wrung paper towels and over-wrap with cling plastic film.
Below are in depth PDFs for further reading about propagating fruit trees, give it a try this year
Stop using crutches. All too often I see hopeless over-dependent people. If you find yourself unable to function on a daily basis without some concoction of drugs/chemicals/food, I want you to stop everything you are doing and self reflect. Think about it this way, we all know how anabolic steroids take over your bodies' natural testosterone production; your body can no longer produce the hormone and thus you depend on the steroids for testosterone. You can apply this to virtually anything. Antidepressants take over your dopamine and seratonin production, eye glasses cause eye muscle degeneration, caffeine hijacks your adrenaline production, elevators and escalators hijack your gains ect ect. Fuel your body with vitamins and nutrition, work out, sleep 8hrs every night and wake up early white man! Now is not the time to falter, you will be amazed at what you can achieve, stop using crutches. And DO NOT take that vaccine
For those of you growing tomatoes in hot environments you may notice that the leaves may be curling as a response to heat stress. This can affect crop yields.

There are also a few other causes related to environmental factors that cause this such as low/high moisture and nitrogen imbalance.

Read about it here
