The Public Testing program will be a great opportunity for the community to engage with Ocean V4 and identify security issues.

Bounties will be distributed for people who find bugs as follows:
✅ Critical bug - up to 100,000 USD
✅ High - 30,000 USD
✅ Medium - 5,000 USD
✅ Low - 2,000 USD

(Payouts are in OCEAN)

The V4 components are already available, so you can start testing NOW.

Immunefi is hosting Ocean V4 Public Testing program and you can report the bugs on their platform from today, Mar 31, 19.00 UTC - stay tuned for the link.

V4 Public Testing program will follow these steps

1. Bounties only for smart contracts
2. Expand bounties scope to all of backend
3. Expand scope to Ocean Market
4. Loop until 21 days with no critical bug found

Expect about 21-ish days to complete the first three steps. Step 4 will take at least 21 days

Bounties are initially on Ocean smart contracts, a subset of the code at https://t.co/9U4KxeRDxR.

Over time, the scope will expand to include all of backend, then Ocean Market as well.

"Critical" issues to discover are:
- Bugs that could result in funds being lost
- Permanent freezing of funds
- Unauthorized protocol changes

"High" issues to discover include:
- Temporary freezing of funds
- Incorrect fee payouts, or delays
- Unauthorized access to Ocean-published datasets
- Private information being stolen
- An economic attack causing > $10K being lost (that isn't MEV)
