Protestors are occupying Hahnemann Hospital, the hospital that was closed last year to make way for more luxury lofts. Hahnemann served mainly low income North Philadelphia residents. Joel Freedman, the developer, then famously wanted to charge the city an insane amount of rent to use the hospital during COVID.
