"Helped transfer more than half a billion shekels to Hamas: The IDF eliminated militants involved in Hamas’ financial transfer network in the Gaza Strip.

During strikes carried out last week (Wednesday) in southern Gaza, the IDF said it killed Hussein Kadra and Mohammed Farra, whom it identified as operatives of Hamas’ military wing and Palestinian Islamic Jihad. According to the IDF, the two were part of a Hamas-run financial network used to transfer funds into the Gaza Strip.

The IDF said Kadra, described as the head of the network, along with Farra and other operatives, acted under the direction of Hamas leadership and helped transfer more than 500 million shekels to Hamas’ military wing, using a network of dozens of couriers and money changers in Turkey and the Gaza Strip.

According to the IDF, these funds enabled Hamas to continue paying salaries to its operatives and to finance attacks against Israeli forces and civilians, including during the recent period, which Israel says violated the ceasefire agreement.

The IDF added that Southern Command forces remain deployed in accordance with the agreement and will continue operating to remove any threat. IDF Spokesperson:
