"Marco and the entire team have been actively managing what's going on in Lebanon. Despite the headlines, things are actually getting better there, and things are slowing down a little bit. It's going to be something we're just going to have to continuously manage to ensure that Israel and Lebanon are both safe and secure. That's fundamentally the goal of this, to make the whole region safe and secure. The big problem is that somebody will shoot and then somebody will respond, and you kind of have a chicken and egg problem where you've just got to stop the shooting for long enough to get the ceasefire to keep hold. That's what we're going to try to do."

At least 30 Hezbollah terrorist holed up there. Completely surrounded by the IDF, if Israel accomplishes the destruction of this command center it would be a serious loss to Hezbollah.

IRGC will do anything to stop this.

Very important to keep an eye out on this.

Israeli forces have seized Hezbollah's underground Southern Front headquarters in southern Lebanon, a fortified complex that served as the organization's primary command-and-control center for operations against northern Israel. The IDF holds the Ali al-Taher Ridge, Tebnine, and the Nabatieh Heights. Dozens of militants are reported still inside. Iran is working to halt the advance.

IDF: Ahmed Samir Muhammad Washah, a Hamas sniper operative who doubled as an Al Jazeera photojournalist, was killed in an airstrike in central Gaza today alongside two other operatives. The military says he had been planning sniper attacks against IDF troops. His brother Mohamed, also a Hamas operative and Al Jazeera employee, was killed in a strike in April.
