One of the things that I have found most fascinating, and disgusting, about the War in Iran is the depravity of those that claim to care about the Iranian people.
It is very clear that many of these people, who have very little real ties to actual Iranian civilians, want far more to remove Iran from the map than they actually want to help the Iranian people.
Nowhere is this more true than some of the strategies put forth to sell the U.S. blockade.
Some of the explicitly stated goals by the some of the analysts advocating for this approach is to make it so that medical supplies are unable to be stocked inside Iran. So that grain and food supplies are unable to provide enough food for the population.
But it’s not just these sick and twisted blockade goals either.
“We should bomb their energy infrastructure and water desalination plants”.
“We should destroy their roads and bridges”
These are NOT the strategies put forth by people that care about the Iranian people.
They are strategies put forth by people that want to wipe Iran from the map.
Permanently.
What I think is critical to understand about the current state of the Trump Administration is that everyone, including President Trump, is well aware that regime change is out of the question. It’s not going to happen. Not after the United States slaughtered hundreds of children in Minab and Trump threatened to wipe out Iran’s entire civilization.
Trump’s advisors and inner circle is well aware of this reality, but instead of accepting it and adjusting expectations, they resort to increasingly monstrous strategies and tactics.
Not because they care about saving the Iranian people. Because they want to save their own careers.
It’s not about the Iranian people. It never has been. Nobody that cares about the Iranian people puts forth strategies that suggest cause mass starvation. Inability to access medical equipment. Ensure inadequate water availability.
You can’t tell me you are suggesting such things because you CARE about Iran.
These people… these advisors… Trump’s inner circle… they advocated for this war, these strategies, these evil and disgusting tactics, because of HATE. Not because of love.
These people, the ones that a really running the show behind the scenes, are driven by hate. Driven by anger. Driven by extreme ideology.
And the United States’ global image is becoming a reflection of this same evil.
We need to change course before it is too late… if it isn’t already. tweet
