U.S. President Donald Trump on Xi Jinping:

"They always criticize me when I say good things about certain leaders, and this one, but... he's led almost 1.5 billion people for a long time, and he's respected." https://twitter.com/Osint613/status/2055116462201733409/video/1

U.S. President Donald Trump on the topics discussed in his meeting with Xi Jinping:

"We had the head of Visa there today... I said what about using Visa in China? For some reason, they were blackballed, and maybe that will come off." https://twitter.com/Osint613/status/2055117231185416363/video/1

China is "going to be buying a lot of our farm product, which is great... when you have that many people, they need it - and we have the best product." https://twitter.com/Osint613/status/2055138791682166950/video/1

U.S. President Donald Trump:

"One thing I think that we're going to make a deal on, they've agreed they want to buy oil from the United States. They're going to go to Texas. We're going to start sending Chinese ships to Texas, and to Louisiana, and to Alaska... that's a big thing."

President Trump with President Xi in Zhongnanhai:

"I want to thank you very much. This has been an incredible visit. I think a lot of good has come of it.

We've made some fantastic trade deals, great for both countries. He's a man I respect greatly. He's become really a fan.

We've known each other now 11 years, almost 12 years, it's a long time. And we've settled a lot of different problems that other people wouldn't have been able to settle. And the relationship is a very strong one.

We've really done some wonderful things, I believe. We did discuss Iran. We feel very similar in Iran.

We want that to end. We don't want them to have a nuclear weapon. We want the straits open.

We're closing it now. They closed it and we closed it on top of them. But we want the straits open.

And we want them to get it ended because it's a crazy thing. They're a little bit crazy and it's no good, can't have it. They cannot have a nuclear weapon.

But we discussed a lot of other things also and I think we're very much on a great move. We're going to have some further discussions now with the group. But I just want to thank President Xi and all of his representatives.

We've become friendly with all of them, great people. And it's an honor to be here. We'll be back, I believe, on September 24th or thereabouts.

And President Xi is going to be coming to the United States. And we will be reciprocal, like reciprocal trade. The visit will be reciprocal.

We're going to lay it on the line and we're going to have – you're going to walk away hopefully very impressed, like I'm very impressed with China.

And I just want to end by saying thank you very much. It's been really a great couple of days. Thank you very much."

RT @RpsAgainstTrump: Trump suggests he supports selling U.S. farmland to Chinese nationals:

“If you want to see farmers lose a lot of money, take that out of the market.” https://twitter.com/RpsAgainstTrump/status/2055135088896041046/video/1

Trump defends 500,000 Chinese students in U.S. universities, saying it would be very “insulting” to China if he barred them, adding:
“If you want to see a university system die, take a half a million people out of it.”

The New York Times responded to Netanyahu and Sa'ar's renewed threat of a lawsuit, calling it part of "well-known political moves aimed at harming the independence of the press." The paper said any such legal action would be baseless.

Israel plans to file a lawsuit against the New York Times over a publication by columnist Nicholas Kristof.
