🇺🇸🇮🇷 Vice President JD Vance on Iran:
I spent a good amount of time on the phone with both Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff and a number of our friends in the Arab world this morning.

The fundamental question is, do we make enough progress that we satisfy the president's red line? And the red line is very simple.

He needs to feel confident that we've put a number of protections in place such that Iran will never have a nuclear weapon.

Lebanon's Foreign Ministry submitted official replies to Iranian letters sent to the UN Security Council, disputing Tehran's characterization of Iranian nationals killed in an Israeli strike on a Beirut hotel as diplomats.

Beirut says Iran's embassy never coordinated their movement to the hotel with Lebanon's Foreign Ministry and questions whether those killed held proper diplomatic registration.

The response also flags concerns over IRGC-linked activity and Vienna Convention violations inside Lebanon.

Several of these guys, including Vance, keep trying to convince people not to trust what they see and hear with their own senses. They pulled the same stunt after Jan. 6, and they’re doing it again right now.

Reporter: Do you agree with the President’s position that Americans' financial situations should not be a consideration?

Vance: I don’t think he said that. (He did). I think that's a misrepresentation of what the president said. https://twitter.com/Acyn/status/2054632706454257884/video/1

RT @StephenFleming: Kudos to @AirFranceKLM. They destroyed my wife’s suitcase (stuff happens), so we trudged to the service desk. I was hoping for some duct tape and expected to fill out a form where, maybe, they’d send me twenty bucks in six weeks or so.

Nope! The friendly and efficient clerk apologized for the damage, measured our suitcase, went into the back room, and returned with a brand-new suitcase, the same size, still in the shrink wrap. We swapped the contents right there and rolled out of baggage claim with the new suitcase.

Nicely done. That’s the sort of service I’d expect from Singapore Air, not a European carrier.

(By the way, what happened to @SamsoniteUSA? Apparently they’re no longer gorilla-proof…)
