So as a public service I have made a summary of main quotes and transcript of the Mendel interview with Carlson.

this has blown up into a bit of a scandal and she is getting slated by Bankova and commentators so i thought a good idea to publish a complete text.

the quotes going round are already suffering from what we call the Minsk Escalation Phenomena: a suggestion in the first interview becomes a “widely reported” fact in the repetitions as so few hacks bother to read the original text.

Personally I have a lot of sympathy for her as she is clearly anti-Russia, but even more so she is anti-war - that is her message in this interview, not just anti- Ze per se

She is not slating her boss so much as appalled by the horrendous war that is slaughtering her countrymen and calling for it to end as it is clearly unwinnable and also by the blatant corruption of his inner circle... absolutely fair enough.

Its a humanitarian view and one I completely agree with. Its about the promise that Ze came in with for change and its failure to appear.

and it is an implicit criticism of the west, which promised to "stand with Ukraine as long as it takes" and then betrayed Ukraine but not doing that.

An entire generation has already been killed for no good reason. Ofc Russia caused this war and Putin deserves to go to hell for that, but its run its course and time to end it.

The key point is w/o proper western support (that will never be given) now there is no point fighting on.

Wars are started on principle. But they are ended with pragmatism...

Nope! The friendly and efficient clerk apologized for the damage, measured our suitcase, went into the back room, and returned with a brand-new suitcase, the same size, still in the shrink wrap. We swapped the contents right there and rolled out of baggage claim with the new suitcase.

Nicely done. That’s the sort of service I’d expect from Singapore Air, not a European carrier.
