Over the past week, troops uncovered Hezbollah living quarters, underground tunnel routes containing large quantities of weapons, arms depots, and launch platforms. The IAF struck over 100 military targets in support. Dozens of Hezbollah operatives were killed in close-quarters combat and airstrikes. A major underground tunnel belonging to Hezbollah was also located and cleared.

The installations would be designated U.S. sovereign territory and focus on tracking Russian and Chinese naval movements through the GIUK Gap. Pituffik Space Base is currently the only U.S. base on the island, down from roughly 17 at the height of the Cold War.
