Last year, my hydroponic greenhouse and garden were fully automated with an ESP32 controlling 12v pumps powered by a 200w solar panel and 100ah LiFePO4 battery system. It worked great, but this year I decided to simplify things. Even off-grid systems still depend on replacement parts, which may be hard to obtain the way things are going in this country.
So this season I switched to a gravity-fed tank using a European system called Blumat that requires no electricity at all. I’m also moving away from pure hydroponics and going with a hybrid setup using reusable coco coir as the growing medium, feeding nutrients through that instead. If nutrients ever become difficult to get, I can even brew my own compost teas if needed.
I’ll try to post the results at the end of the growing season.

South Korea has continued increasing its defense ties with European countries, as South Korea and Estonia have signed another deal to export 3 Chunmoo multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). The deal is part of an ongoing FMS framework between South Korea’s Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) and Estonia’s Estonian Centre for Defence Investments (ECDI).
