Your politics is broken. You are part of the problem

I’ll leave it to others to explain why members of Congress are leaking details from classified briefings.

My question:

Why do Democrats suddenly care about this with Iran, but not Ukraine?

Why do Republicans care about this with Ukraine, but not Iran?

Our politics are broken.

An Iranian source told Tasnim that Trump's response to Iran's negotiating answer carries "no significance," stating that no one in Iran formulates proposals to please the U.S. president. The negotiation team writes exclusively for the rights of the Iranian people, the source claimed, and if Trump is dissatisfied, "that is probably preferable." The source went further: "Trump, in general, does not like reality, and therefore he loses to Iran again and again."

‼️🇮🇷🇺🇲 BIG | Donald Trump told Axios that he rejects Iran's response to the latest draft agreement aimed at ending the war, after the US waited 10 days for Tehran's reply.

"I don't like their letter. It is inappropriate. I don't like their response," he said, adding that Iran "has been deceiving many countries for 47 years."

He confirmed that he spoke with Netanyahu today — "it was a very pleasant call" — but emphasized that negotiations with Iran "are my business, not anyone else's."

Trump also stated publicly that he does not like Iran's response and finds it completely unacceptable.

For reference, Trump will travel to China on May 13 and hold a meeting with Xi Jinping.

Tasnim reports that Iran’s Armed Forces say they shot down an ‘enemy’ reconnaissance drone in southwestern Iran earlier today.

Iranian media claims air defenses shot down a “hostile aircraft” over Ahvaz and northern Dezful in Khuzestan Province, after anti-aircraft fire was reported in the area late Sunday.

‼️🇨🇳🇺🇲 BIG | According to Bloomberg, it is expected that US President Donald Trump will put pressure on Chinese President Xi Jinping regarding approaches related to Iran.

Specifically, this concerns the revenues that China provides to Iran through oil purchases, as well as the possible export of weapons to Iran.

The Taiwan issue is also expected to be discussed, although no significant changes in US policy are planned in this direction.

Additionally, it is assumed that Trump and Xi will continue discussions about the trade council, which is supposed to regulate exchange processes between the two superpowers.

Iran’s state-backed news agency Irib News details Iranian conditions for negotiations with the U.S., following U.S. President Donald J. Trump’s reaction that called their response “totally unacceptable.” The terms, just a reiteration of their previous statements, include, but are not limited to, releasing frozen Iranian funds and assets, war reparations, and Iranian sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz.

RT @DefenseBulletin: At the time of writing, all the aforementioned points are non-starters for the Trump administration, and due to this it’s fair to assess that it’s highly unlikely a deal will be made between the two belligerents within a reasonable timeframe.

U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC):

"The idea that Iran would not completely destroy all their enrichment facilities as part of a negotiated solution makes no sense. The moratorium - without complete dismantlement of the enrichment facilities and capabilities - truly becomes the JCPOA.

I am certain that Iran’s refusal to destroy their enrichment capability will be soundly rejected."

U.S. President Donald Trump:

"You could listen to FoxNews all day long, absolutely devour it, but then, when you hear SLEAZEBAGS, like Congressman Ro Khanna, “a wolf in sheep’s clothing,” LIE, LIE, LIE, AND LIE AGAIN, without any pushback, or competent rebuttal from an anchor, in this case, Jacqui Heinrich, the entire Common Sense dialogue that has been going on all day at Fox is completely obliterated! Why would Fox put SCUM like this on, or others, such as Low Rated Bill Maher, who gains “credibility” by constant referral to him as though he were a Liberal source of “Wisdom,” or very Low IQ Hakeem Jeffries, who considers the Supreme Court “illegitimate,” and probably hates our Country. No matter how “Fair and Balanced” the day’s News at Fox may be, the end result is destroyed by professional Liars, Conmen, and Liberal, Crooked Politicians. This is why MAGA Republicans, who are actually close to 100% of the Party, hate Fox, despite the wonderful contributions made by so many of their great anchors and commentators. Hard to win Elections like this! President DONALD J. TRUMP."
