For weeks, there have been media reports and statements from Trump and other administration officials on how a deal is basically around the corner.
That is nowhere near materialising. I wonder for how long this stalemate and back-and-forth will continue. https://twitter.com/Faytuks/status/2053576853714071585/photo/1

Friday night, around 11:19 p.m. local time, Frontier Airlines Flight 4345, an Airbus A321 bound for Los Angeles, struck and killed a person on Runway 17L at Denver International Airport during takeoff. There were 231 people on board, 224 passengers and 7 crew.
The pedestrian had jumped the perimeter fence roughly two minutes before the incident and was crossing the runway when the plane struck them.
The person was at least partially consumed by one of the engines, causing a brief engine fire.
The pilot immediately aborted takeoff and radioed: “Tower, Frontier, 4345 we’re stopping on the runway. We just hit somebody. We have an engine fire.” Smoke filled the cabin and passengers were evacuated via emergency slides.
Twelve people reported minor injuries and five were transported to local hospitals.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene and has not been publicly identified. They are not believed to have been an airport employee.
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said the person had “deliberately” scaled the fence and called it a deliberate trespass.
The identity and motive of the person on the runway remain unknown.

I’ll leave it to others to explain why members of Congress are leaking details from classified briefings.
My question:
Why do Democrats suddenly care about this with Iran, but not Ukraine?
Why do Republicans care about this with Ukraine, but not Iran?

An Iranian source told Tasnim that Trump's response to Iran's negotiating answer carries "no significance," stating that no one in Iran formulates proposals to please the U.S. president. The negotiation team writes exclusively for the rights of the Iranian people, the source claimed, and if Trump is dissatisfied, "that is probably preferable." The source went further: "Trump, in general, does not like reality, and therefore he loses to Iran again and again."

‼️🇮🇷🇺🇲 BIG | Donald Trump told Axios that he rejects Iran's response to the latest draft agreement aimed at ending the war, after the US waited 10 days for Tehran's reply.
"I don't like their letter. It is inappropriate. I don't like their response," he said, adding that Iran "has been deceiving many countries for 47 years."
He confirmed that he spoke with Netanyahu today — "it was a very pleasant call" — but emphasized that negotiations with Iran "are my business, not anyone else's."
Trump also stated publicly that he does not like Iran's response and finds it completely unacceptable.
For reference, Trump will travel to China on May 13 and hold a meeting with Xi Jinping.

‼️🇨🇳🇺🇲 BIG | According to Bloomberg, it is expected that US President Donald Trump will put pressure on Chinese President Xi Jinping regarding approaches related to Iran.
Specifically, this concerns the revenues that China provides to Iran through oil purchases, as well as the possible export of weapons to Iran.
The Taiwan issue is also expected to be discussed, although no significant changes in US policy are planned in this direction.
Additionally, it is assumed that Trump and Xi will continue discussions about the trade council, which is supposed to regulate exchange processes between the two superpowers.

RT @DefenseBulletin: At the time of writing, all the aforementioned points are non-starters for the Trump administration, and due to this it’s fair to assess that it’s highly unlikely a deal will be made between the two belligerents within a reasonable timeframe.

U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC):
"The idea that Iran would not completely destroy all their enrichment facilities as part of a negotiated solution makes no sense. The moratorium - without complete dismantlement of the enrichment facilities and capabilities - truly becomes the JCPOA.
I am certain that Iran’s refusal to destroy their enrichment capability will be soundly rejected."
