RT @HalaGorani: I’ve just returned from a week in Syria and there is a lot to say about the state of the country but for the first time in my life in any Arab nation, I didn’t see a single public image of the president: no portraits in shop windows, no posters, no statues, nothing.

Bahrain’s ministry of foreign affairs has released a statement warning against further Iranian interference within the country and against its other Gulf neighbors. Per the release, Iran has used various measures, including the employment of espionage cells with links to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps and Lebanese Hezbollah, to subvert Bahrain’s sovereignty.

Direct message to Iran in the statement:
His Excellency the Minister called on the Islamic Republic of Iran to comply fully with its obligations under international law and the resolutions of international legitimacy, and to completely cease its aggressive and provocative acts and sinful interventions against the Kingdom of Bahrain and the countries of the region, including the use of terrorist proxies and militias, targeting maritime navigation and threatening vital corridors, foremost of which is the Strait of Hormuz, as these illegal practices represent a direct threat to the security of international navigation, energy supply chains, food security, global trade, and their negative repercussions on the global economy and regional and international peace and security.
