🇺🇦🇷🇺☠️ Destruction of Kadyrov’s “Akhmat” Unit — Details of a Unique GUR Special Operation in the Sumy Region:
Between February and April 2026, a unit of Ukraine’s military intelligence (GUR), known as “Shamanbat,” carried out a large-scale operation targeting mercenary fighters from the “Akhmat” unit.
▪️ Intelligence on enemy plans and intentions was provided to Ukrainian military intelligence by an agent — a former “Akhmat” serviceman, whom GUR had established contact with as early as the beginning of 2025.
He installed a listening device in a meeting room, which had been delivered via an FPV drone behind the front line. As a result, GUR operators were able to record conversations of the unit’s entire command staff.
This high level of awareness regarding enemy plans and capabilities enabled Ukrainian special forces to conduct precise strikes against Kadyrov’s fighters both during movement and at concentration points.
☠️ 41 killed, 87 wounded. More than 100 mercenaries are listed as missing.
Over 160 units of armored and automotive equipment were destroyed or damaged, along with more than 25 UAVs of various types, as well as communications systems, electronic warfare systems, engineering equipment and infrastructure, weapons depots, fuel storage facilities, and other military assets.
