Russia has begun to lose its momentum in military recruitment. This is already evident even from their own statistics. According to German researcher Janis Kluge, who tracks these figures, recruitment rates in 2026 have dropped by approximately 20% compared to 2025. While Russia was recruiting 1,000-1,200 contract soldiers per day in the first quarter of 2025, that number fell to just 800-1,000 per day by early 2026. This is happening despite the fact that Russians continue to increase sign-on bonuses and contract payments. Russia's current war system is built on commercial recruitment, but this model is beginning to stall.

UK PM Keir Starmer:
We call for Lebanon to be included urgently in the ceasefire.
Hezbollah must disarm. But I'm equally clear: Israel's strikes are wrong.
The bombing should stop now. https://twitter.com/Osint613/status/2043719255766511810/video/1

USS Tripoli (LHA 7) conducts night flight operations while sailing in the Arabian Sea. Tripoli is designed without a traditional well deck, which allows for more F-35B Lightning II stealth fighters, MV-22 Ospreys, helicopters, and extra maintenance space. During peak operations, the ship can surge to support up to 20+ F-35Bs.

RT @azov_media: For the first time, the First Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine and the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted joint command post exercises with the support of the Security Assistance Group–Ukraine (SAG-U).
The importance of these exercises is driven by the adjacency of the corps’ areas of responsibility on the front line. Accordingly, staff officers focused on synchronizing joint efforts and refining joint planning.
"Your task is to make military decisions quickly and effectively," Brigadier General Yevhen Lasiychuk, commander of the 7th Corps of the Air Assault Forces, told officers during the training.
In turn, the commander of the First Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine, Brigadier General Denys Prokopenko, emphasized that the purpose of the exercises was to ensure coordination at the junction of the corps, building an integrated system of reconnaissance, fire engagement, and mining to prevent the enemy from breaking through the defensive line.
The Commander of the Air Assault Forces, Major General Oleh Apostol, also addressed the officers: "Officers must be able to thoroughly analyze the situation and provide the commander with objective operational information. This enables sound decision-making on the battlefield."
"Every three months, it is a different war. You must learn quickly, adapt, and remain flexible," said Major General Oleksandr Pivnenko, Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, addressing the participants.
