We need China to open up so that Europe does not have to close itself.

Our trade deficit with China grew 18% last year. That is unsustainable. https://twitter.com/Osint613/status/2043600711791808514/video/1

The IDF says it is close to capturing Hezbollah stronghold Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon, after a major offensive led by the 98th Division.

The military says forces encircled the town, then pushed in, killing over 100 Hezbollah operatives, destroying infrastructure and seizing large amounts of weapons.

“Over the past week, the forces completed the encirclement and launched an offensive in the town of Bint Jbeil,” the IDF said.

Operations are ongoing, with commanders estimating a few more days to eliminate remaining fighters and secure the area.

RT @NSTRIKE1231: ⚰️☠️ A pro-war Z-propagandist, Maksim Kalashnikov, described the battlefield as a “drone meat grinder” for Russian soldiers.

🔹 He effectively acknowledged that the value of an average Russian soldier is extremely low, contrasting recruitment promises of around 5 million rubles with the reality of being sent into high-risk “kill zones” where they are exposed to Ukrainian kamikaze drones.

🔹 According to this view, Russian commanders treat such losses as an acceptable and even “profitable” trade-off.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan:

"As far as I can see, there is currently a sincere need on both sides for a ceasefire. Of course, there is always the Israel factor, Israel's disruptive role here must always be taken into account. At the moment, both the Americans and the Iranians have returned home. I believe the Iranians, in particular, will evaluate the proposal made by the Americans and will give a response."

French President Emmanuel Macron:

"Every effort must be made to reach a solid and lasting settlement of the conflict in the Middle East through diplomacy, a settlement that provides the region with a robust framework allowing everyone to live in peace and security.

To achieve this, all substantive issues must be addressed with lasting solutions, Iran's nuclear and ballistic activities, its destabilizing actions in the region, the resumption of free and unimpeded navigation through the Strait of Hormuz as soon as possible, and ensuring Lebanon returns to the path of peace with full respect for its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

France is ready to play its full part, as it has been working to do consistently since the first day of the conflict.

Regarding the Strait of Hormuz, we will organize with the United Kingdom, in the coming days, a conference with countries ready to contribute alongside us to a peaceful multinational mission to restore freedom of navigation in the strait. This strictly defensive mission, distinct from the belligerents, will be deployed as soon as the situation allows."

German Chancellor Merz on Hungary's election results:

"I am personally very grateful and relieved about this clear election result in Hungary. This shows that our democratic societies are more resilient than many believe. Our democracies can withstand Russian propaganda and foreign interference. Right-wing populism suffered a heavy defeat in Hungary. A clear signal has come from Hungary against right-wing populism worldwide."

Turkish FM Hakan Fidan on Syria:

"Israel's postponed policies toward Syria carry certain risks. Because of the ongoing war in Iran, Israel may not be taking certain steps right now, but that does not mean it will not do so later.

It may simply not be their priority at the moment. That does not mean it will not become a priority later, when the time comes.

For now, our Syrian brothers and sisters are engaged in serious diplomatic efforts. However, as I said, Netanyahu and his team's perspective on this issue is clear. We are aware of it, and we are taking our own measures accordingly."
