IDF: Troops raided the Bint Jbeil Governmental Hospital in southern Lebanon after identifying Hezbollah operatives operating inside.
Givati Brigade forces had flagged military activity at the site last week. In recent days, operatives were seen conducting surveillance from within the hospital and opened fire on IDF troops.
The IDF says forces responded, killing about 20 gunmen in and around the hospital and seizing a cache of Hezbollah weapons during the raid.
According to the IDF, Hezbollah used the hospital compound and nearby areas for military purposes despite prior warnings to halt such activity, calling it a “severe violation of international law.”

According to IDF estimates, hundreds of Hezbollah operatives are trapped inside the Shiite stronghold, the second-largest city in the Nabatieh District. Airstrikes and ground fire are ongoing as forces tighten the perimeter and target positions within the town. tweet
