US warships reportedly crossed the Strait of Hormuz earlier today, entering the Persian Gulf, then turning around. At least one destroyer, the USS Michael Murphy, briefly popped up on AIS inside the Gulf.

Iranian state TV said the ship retreated after warnings. https://twitter.com/Osinttechnical/status/2042963486381126020/photo/1

RT @gregbagwell: This a false story. The UK continues to support Op SHADER, which is against ISIS in Iraq & Syria, https://news.sky.com/story/raf-carries-out-strikes-against-is-underground-facility-in-syria-13490152 and this routing for Protectors (not Reapers anymore) is typical. It’s not unusual to hold at the Syrian border.

A UK RAF surveillance drone spent more than 13 hours over Lebanon on 8 April, at the same time Israeli air strikes killed over 250 people, raising lots of questions about Britain’s role in Israel's attack on Lebanon. The flight, first spotted by @kennardmatt, seems to show an MQ-9 Reaper circling near Baalbek before and after a series of attacks - and it raises the question: was British intelligence shared with the US or Israel? The total lack of clarity from the Ministry of Defence, along with Britain’s wider surveillance activity and its deep defence ties with Israel, frankly stinks. The UK can't claim that this was to identify hostages. So what on earth were the RAF doing?

The United States and Iran have begun their highest-level direct talks in almost 50 years, since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, in a bid to end their more than five-week war that has spread across the Middle East. The U.S. delegation led by Vice President JD Vance, consists of Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, Donald Trump’s son-in-law, while Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, one of Iran’s senior wartime leaders, is leading the delegation from the Islamic Republic. Pakistan’s Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir, who has a close relationship with U.S. President Trump as well as senior leaders in Iran, mediated the face-to-face meeting between the top officials from both countries, according to the Financial Times.
