A senior Iranian security official told Press TV that Israeli strikes on Beirut were halted under Iranian pressure, claiming the pause was made a condition for Israel’s participation in U.S.-led ceasefire talks.
The official added that Iran’s delegation trip to Islamabad was delayed multiple times due to the situation in Lebanon, warning that continued attacks could have led to the collapse of the negotiations altogether.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announces that last night, Ukrainian forces carried out drone strikes on two Russian drilling platforms located in the northern part of the Caspian Sea.
Distance to Ukraine: around 1,000km
The two platforms in question are the ice-resistant stationary platform (LSP-1) at the Yuri Korchagin field and the ice-resistant stationary platform (LSP-2) at the V. Graifer field.

The tactical operations center reportedly lacked adequate protection against direct overhead attacks and was reinforced only with T-shaped concrete barriers around its perimeter.
Interestingly, the published photo also clearly shows a Soviet-era FAB-type free-fall bomb lying on the ground. Its presence remains unexplained, given that U.S. sources attribute the strike to Iranian drones. It also does not appear to have fallen from above. tweet
