Iran FM: 'Netanyahu's criminal trial resumes on Sun. A region-wide ceasefire, incl in Lebanon, would hasten his jailing. If the U S. wishes to crater its economy by letting Netanyahu kill diplomacy, that would ultimately be its choice. We think that would be dumb but are prepared for it.'

RT @ZelenskyyUa: We cannot simply speak about withdrawing from Donbas as a matter of compromise. Our withdrawal from Donbas would open up opportunities for the Russian Federation to occupy our most fortified territories without losses.
Some people say it would take a year to a year and a half to build new fortifications. But everyone forgets: first and foremost, that is a year and a half. And even if it were less, fortifications in an open field are a completely different matter from those in urban areas. They can never provide equally strong protection.
A withdrawal would give the Russian Federation room for large-scale maneuver. They could advance either toward Kharkiv or toward Dnipro, destroying our cities. And two major cities would be at risk – cities that, incidentally, generate a significant share of our GDP.
So many people have died there… The morale of our army would certainly decline. There would undoubtedly be a rift in society. The army – which would surely not support such steps – on one side, and society on the other. And division within society is precisely what Putin is aiming for.
Moreover, there are currently 200,000 people living in the territories of Donbas that we are defending. Withdrawal does not mean preserving anything. You leave, and without any guarantees, you risk losing everything. And that is a major risk.
From an interview with Rai Radio 1 (2/3).

SCOOP: The Pentagon failed to warn ships carrying supplies for the US military before starting the war in Iran.
The ships got stuck in the Persian Gulf.
And for a month, they were stuck w/ a group of college students — merchant marine cadets.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan:
The ceasefire was declared yesterday, but even before moving on to negotiations, the first problem immediately emerged.
As expected, Israel acted as a spoiler and carried out a large-scale air operation against Lebanon, something that had not happened up until that point, causing the deaths of many civilians.
Now, under the shadow of this provocation by Israel, the negotiations that are supposed to continue will naturally be very difficult.
I would like to remind you that the issues to be discussed are extremely complex.
Many of these topics have already been debated frequently in previous talks between the United States and Iran.
However, even now, we can see that there are still fluctuations and uncertainties, particularly regarding enrichment.
The nuclear issue remains the most heavily debated topic, and even there, differences of opinion may persist.

RT @DefenseBulletin: It’s yet unclear whether or not NATO member states plan on making any commitments to a Strait of Hormuz security framework, but a number of nations, including France, have directly spoken to Iranian decision-makers on the nature of a post-conflict framework, seemingly bypassing any potential U.S. initiative.
