A US Navy MQ-4 drone operating over the Persian Gulf and Strait of Hormuz has declared an emergency en route back to Sigonella Naval Station.
At 0956z it made a right-hand turn off it's track back to Sigonella and back out into the Persian Gulf. Two minutes latrer at 0958z it began a descent from 50,000ft down to 9,500ft by 1011z, at which point @flightradar24 lost it's signal.
