Trump on his Truth Social app, at his direction, U.S. Central Command “obliterated every MILITARY target in Iran’s crown jewel, Kharg Island.” Extremely notably, President Trump said that he has chosen not to target the vast oil infrastructure on Iran’s economically important island and should Iran continue to interfere with the safe passage of vessels through the Strait of Hormuz, the island’s oil infrastructure will be targeted.
