Netanyahu: "We will eliminate the trade deficit with the United States. We intend to do it very quickly. We think it's the right thing to do and we're going to also eliminate trade barriers... and I think Israel can serve as a model for many countries who ought to do the same." https://x.com/Osint613/status/1909327108028899532/video/1

Trump:
Thank you very much. It’s an honor to have a very, very special person here. I’ve dealt with him for a long time—Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel.

We had lunch together, we had meetings together with our staff, and I think we’ve come to some pretty good solutions and conclusions. We’ll continue working a bit after this, and then I assume you’re heading back home. Yes, sir. It’s a quick in-and-out stop, but we appreciate you being here. As you know, we are a friend of Israel.

I would say I’m by far the best president Israel has ever even thought of seeing. It’s an honor to be thought of that way. I have many friends in Israel. It’s not an easy region—they face tough challenges—but we’re helping them, and likewise, they’ve been helping us a great deal.

We had great discussions today, especially on the obvious topic of Iran. But also on a less obvious one—trade. I believe the Prime Minister will speak a bit about trade and what Israel is doing for the United States.

So, I want to thank you all for being here. Thank you very much.

Benjamin, thank you very much.
Netanyahu: Thank you, Mr. President. Thank you, Donald.

RT @Red_Roscoe: So much for deficit reduction. What a mess.

Trump administration officials are debating the merits of creating a new exporter tax credit, a move that offers an implicit acknowledgment of the harm that the White House’s tariff policies risk inflicting on US companies. https://news.bloombergtax.com/daily-tax-report/trump-team-considers-exporter-tax-credit-as-tariff-counterweight?taid=67f423933e9bc50001a83ffe&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter
