   𝐘ōkai, are strange, supernatural creatures and phenomena from Japanese folklore. The world of yōkai also includes ghosts, gods, transformed humans and animals, spirit possession, urban legends, and other strange phenomena.

   𝐘ōkai are mirrors of the human heart, reflecting our fears, hopes, and curiosity. They stand as metaphors for the mysteries of nature, the flaws in human character, or even a strange comfort in life’s harsh realities. In their elusive existence, Yōkai remind us that life isn’t just black and white—it’s filled with countless shades of gray.

   𝐘ōkai uses red and cream as basic colors that have meaning. Red is a strong, energetic and emotional color. It is often associated with passion, love, courage, or even anger. Cream is a soft, calm and calming color. It is often associated with elegance, serenity, and purity. As a neutral color, cream reflects balance and warmth. The combination of these two colors—cream and red—can create an interesting harmony: cream provides balance and elegance, while red adds an element of boldness and emotional strength.

there exists a sacred hierarchy —
the ladder of onmyōdō. From the
Onmyōji, masters of the spirit arts
and keepers of the eternal oath,
to the Onmyō-kō, swift bearers of
fate who walk unseen between
realms, and finally the Onmyō-shi,
the weavers of illusion who carve
the YŌKAI’s legend into the mortal
world.

妖怪 ——— 𝐎𝐍𝐌𝐘Ō𝐉𝐈 (陰陽師)
[ ғᴏᴜɴᴅᴇʀ , ᴄᴏ-ғᴏᴜɴᴅᴇʀ , sᴇᴋʀᴇᴛᴀʀɪs ]

𝐎nmyōji are experts or masters in the art of Onmyōdō, possessing the ability to manipulate natural forces and spirits, foresee the future, and exorcise evil spirits. In PDN YŌKAI, Onmyōji hold the highest rank, filled by the Founder, Co-Founder, and Secretary, who have full authority over the organization’s direction and safeguard the YŌKAI’s oath.

             妖怪 ——— 𝐎𝐍𝐌𝐘Ō-𝐊Ō (陰陽課)

𝐎nmyō-kō are at a lower rank than Onmyōji, yet they play an important role in the daily operations of Onmyōdō. In PDN YŌKAI, they serve at the operational level, filled by the Owner, Co-Owner, and Couriers, ensuring that all deliveries and field tasks run smoothly.

妖怪 ——— 𝐎𝐍𝐌𝐘Ō-𝐒𝐇𝐈 (陰陽士)
[ ᴍᴘᴘs , ᴘғᴘ , sғs , ᴇᴅɪᴛ , ᴄᴏɴᴛᴇɴᴛ , sᴇʙᴘᴏsᴛ ]

𝐓his is the level for those who are studying Onmyōdō; although they may not yet possess great powers, they are trained in the fundamentals of this art. In PDN YŌKAI, this level serves as the apprenticeship and image-building stage, filled by the MPPS, PFP, SFS, Editing, Content, and Poster Distribution Team, who are responsible for preserving YŌKAI’s face and legend in the outside world.

𝐅ukushu are individuals who assist Onmyōji in performing rituals or other tasks. They are not primary practitioners but play an important role in supporting ceremonies and spiritual processes. In YŌKAI Express, they are also referred to as clients.
