Gold prices recently broke above $4,400/ounce, reaching $4,435 before retreating to around $4,370 as the market awaits the U.S. CPI report to determine the Fed’s next direction.

In the short term, gold could face pressure if inflation comes in higher than expected, oil prices rise, and the USD and Treasury yields strengthen. Conversely, a cooling CPI would reinforce expectations for monetary easing and provide further support for gold.
