Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said the Islamabad memorandum with Washington will not be signed on Sunday, though a signing in the coming days remains possible.
Baghaei stressed that the memorandum is not a final agreement with Washington, but rather a preliminary understanding aimed at ending the ongoing conflict. He added that the document does not address Iran's nuclear program and is focused solely on ending hostilities across all fronts, including Lebanon.
The spokesperson also noted that Tehran remains cautious about commenting on the timing of any signing, citing what he described as hesitation from the other side.
