कानपुर में जारी कड़ाके की ठंड के बीच दिल और दिमाग से जुड़ी गंभीर बीमारियों के मामलों में तेज़ बढ़ोतरी दर्ज की गई है। कार्डियोलॉजी अस्पताल से मिले आंकड़ों के अनुसार, पिछले सात दिनों में हार्ट अटैक और ब्रेन स्ट्रोक के कारण 100 से अधिक लोगों को मृत अवस्था में अस्पताल लाया गया।

इंडिया टुडे/आजतक को प्राप्त जानकारी के मुताबिक, इस अवधि में 500 से अधिक मरीजों को अस्पताल में भर्ती किया गया, जबकि करीब 6,500 मरीजों का ओपीडी में इलाज किया गया। बढ़ते मामलों के चलते कार्डियोलॉजी अस्पताल में मरीजों की लंबी कतारें देखने को मिल रही हैं और स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं पर दबाव बढ़ गया है।

कार्डियोलॉजी अस्पताल के निदेशक राकेश वर्मा ने बताया कि सर्दियों के मौसम में हार्ट ब्लॉकेज के मामलों में इज़ाफा होता है। उन्होंने लोगों से सीने या पेट में दर्द और किसी भी असहजता को नजरअंदाज न करने तथा समय पर चिकित्सकीय सलाह लेने की अपील की है।
