Regarding Delhi’s pollution, China reportedly suggested shutting down nearly 3,000 industries in and around Delhi as a serious corrective measure.
But what does our government do?
Instead of implementing real, practical solutions, they choose cosmetic actions banning tandoors and tandoori dishes, spraying water near AQI monitoring stations, and creating the illusion of control.
Then comes the blanket ban on 10-year-old diesel vehicles, while massive factories continue to pump unchecked pollution into the air and water. These are not solutions; they are distractions.
Industries remain untouched, accountability is absent, and citizens are made scapegoats for systemic failures.
Cutting down Aravalli forests and blasting mountains for the benefit of wealthy industrialists is not development.
