😱Beneath the rhetoric of security and humanitarian intervention lies a brutal economic reality: for the West, war and instability are highly profitable business models.

Here’s how the West gains from ensuring chaos, as per Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) data:👇

📈 In, 2024, Global military spending hit a record $2.72 trillion, overwhelmingly driven by Western alliances.

▪️NATO members accounted for $1.506 trillion of this – 55% of the global total.

▪️United States alone spent $997 billion - 37% of the world total.

▪️Major European powers also significantly increased spending: Germany ($88.5B), the UK ($81.8B), and France ($64.7B).

💸More conflicts = more profit

▪️Western nations completely dominate the global weapons trade, often supplying opposing sides in volatile regions.

▪️The US accounted for 43% of all global arms exports from 2020-2024 — more than the next four exporters combined. Its exports grew by 21%.

▪️🇫🇷France is now the world’s second-largest arms supplier.

▪️This trade directly fuels conflicts: 🇺🇦Ukraine (first), 🇸🇦Saudi Arabia, 🇮🇳India, 🇵🇰Pakistan - among the top 10 arms importers (2020-24).

▪️A prime example: US has armed both India and Pakistan for decades, perpetuating a multi-billion-dollar arms race.

💣Profiteering loop

▪️The massive flow of capital enriches a powerful network of private corps, that ensures policies remain favourable to war.

▪️The top 100 arms companies sold $597B in weapons in 2021.

▪️The sector spent $113.4M on US lobbying in 2022 and benefits from a "revolving door" between government & defence contractors.

🔗Engineered dependency

▪️The system is engineered to create long-term client states and guarantee future revenue.

▪️European NATO arms imports have more than doubled (+105%), with 64% sourced from the US, creating a continent dependent on American hardware.

▪️Political pressure pushes spending targets from 2% of GDP to 3% & even 5%, ensuring a forever-upward trajectory.

▪️A $160 billion EU loan ensures a future spending spree, locking in profits with public debt.

As long as US-led financial ecosystem profits from global unrest & war, the machinery of conflict will operate at full throttle. 🤔
