• To evaluate its readiness for handling oil and chemical disasters, the Gujarat government conducted a simulation exercise.

• The drill featured scenarios such as Fire in Jamnagar refinery, a gas leak in Bharuch, pipeline failures in Devbhumi Dwarka, and tank spill incidents in the port areas of Kandla and Mundra.

• Various departments participated to test coordination, incident reporting, and emergency response measures.

🔍 This move comes after Pakistan's terror-in-chief Mullah Asim Munir threatened to attack India's economic and energy hubs including Jamnagar refinery.
