US Army Major Returns to Bangladesh, After Oct 2024, for Armoured Corps Mission
♦️US Army Maj Michael Reid Sattem, a (Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear) CBRN specialist, returned to Bangladesh on Sept 11 leading a 5-member Oregon National Guard team specialising in armoured cavalry.
♦️Bogura Mission: The delegation is scheduled to stay Sept 13–17 and engage Bangladesh Army’s Armoured Corps Centre & School at Bogura Cantonment, its principal armoured-force training institution.
♦️Previous Visit: Sattem was part of a 7-member US delegation led by Maj Gen Scott A Winter during its Dhaka visit in Oct 2024.
♦️Recent US Activity: An 8-member Oregon National Guard team led by Lt Col Anthony Leverman had also arrived in Dhaka on Sept 4.
