Background:

Farooq Sudhan was a former Pakistan Army SSG commando who became associated with Pakistani terror groups. He reportedly remained active in political and terror groups after his retirement from military service.


According to some sources, he was part of the security detail assigned to Yasser Arafat during the 1974 Islamic Summit Conference in Lahore.


Farooq conducted training sessions for members of the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Lashkar and for other groups in POJK

Political Activities:

Farooq Sudhan later became active in the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) protest movement and was portrayed by supporters as advocating political mobilization.



Death: Farooq Sudhan was fatally shot during protests in Rawalakot. The Pakistan Rangers were responsible for the shooting.

📍The West Bengal STF has arrested Hamim Mondal, described by police as a suspected JeM operative, along with his alleged associate Arpita Sarkar.

⚠️ According to police, the probe has uncovered plans involving targeting the Bengal CM, extorting a senior politician, honey-trapping and kidnapping his son, and disrupting a Jantar Mantar protest.

🕵️ Arpita Sarkar, arrested in Sahibganj, Jharkhand, was identified by police as Mondal’s close associate and girlfriend. The STF said suspicious online activity linked to her led investigators to the wider network.
