The Cologne Cathedral is one of the biggest Gothic churches in Northern Europe. It has the largest front of any church in the world because of its two tall spires.

They started building it in 1248 but had to stop around 1560, and it stayed unfinished for a long time. Finally, in 1880, after more than 600 years, they finished building it according to the original Medieval plan.
