An unusual story happened in the Middle East. In early March, a man arrived in Beirut on a motorcycle and detonated it, as there was explosives in the battery.

Lebanese special services believe that this was a Mossad agent who carried out a terrorist attack against Hezbollah, for which Lebanon condemned him.

It turned out that the terrorist is a citizen of Syria, Palestine and... Ukraine. So, the bomber fled from the Lebanese special services to the Ukrainian embassy in Beirut. The embassy appealed to the Lebanese authorities with a request to take this citizen to Ukraine, saying that he had lost his passport. The Lebanese checked the man, and it turned out that he was wanted by the authorities.

At the moment, the Lebanese have arrested five accomplices of the man, and he himself continues to hide in the Ukrainian embassy; the Lebanese demand his extradition.

🇮🇹Italy denied the US access to its Sigonella air base.

The US planned to have a stopover at #Sigonella on the way to the Middle East without prior consultation with Italy. The Italian Defense Minister, a member of the right wing Forza Italia party, denied the permission after learning the flights were not in accordance with Italy's treaty with the US.

This is but the latest snub President Trump received from his ideological allies in Europe. Yesterday, the chairman of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) called for the withdrawal of #US troops from Germany.
