๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ทThe Secret of the 1979 Iranian Revolution โ€“ Swiss Policy Research

Why the 1979 Iranian revolution was supported by the United States.
The 1979 Islamic revolution in Iran is often presented as an anti-American and anti-Western revolution. In reality, the 1979 revolution was supported and facilitated by the United States โ€“ a fact neither supporters nor opponents of the current Islamic Republic of Iran like to talk about.

Although denied for decades, it is now widely known that in 1953, the United States and Britain overthrew the first democratically elected Prime Minister of Iran, Mohammad Mosaddegh, and re-installed Mohammad Reza Pahlavi as monarch (#shah) or dictatorial governor.

This early โ€œregime changeโ€, code-named Operation Ajax, was driven by Anglo-American oil interests โ€“ Mosaddegh planned to nationalize the Iranian oil industry โ€“ as well as by an early Cold War fear of increasing Communist influence on politics in #Iran (as in some Western European countries).

Saudi Arabia and Qatar are on fire after Iranian strikes.

Tehran is intensifying attacks on the region's oil infrastructure.

A large fire has been reported at the Qatari port of Ras Laffan following an Iranian attack on an LNG production facility.

Strikes on the Saudi Arabian capital continue. Several strategic facilities have been hit in Riyadh, including a suspected oil facility.

๐Ÿ‘MizarVision: Pentagonโ€™s worst nightmare

Billions spent by the Pentagon on spy technology have been neutralized by a Chinese startup, which has eliminated any possibility of the US secretly moving troops by publishing high-quality satellite images.

Here's what you need to know:

๐ŸŸฅThe Chinese AI development startup MizarVision is publishing high-resolution satellite images of every US military base, every aircraft carrier strike group, every deployed F-22, every THAAD battery, and every Patriot missile position in the Middle East. With AI-generated labels, geolocation, and annotations.

๐ŸŸฅThe data is updated in almost real-time. The first major release was on February 20, eight days before the start of the US operation in Iran. MizarVision published images showing the transfer of US aircraft to Ovda Air Base in southern Israel, the deployment of fighter jets in Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and the buildup of naval forces in the Arabian Sea.

๐ŸŸฅBy March 1, the publications expanded to include detailed images of bases in Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, and the UAE with AI-generated markings identifying specific aircraft types, air defense configurations, and troop concentrations. One release cataloged approximately 2,500 individual US Army installations in the region.

๐ŸŸฅThe images come from two sources. The first source is the Chinese satellite constellation "Jilin-1," a network of over 100 commercial Earth observation satellites operated by Chang Guang Satellite Technology, whose data is used by the People's Liberation Army (PLA).

๐ŸŸฅMost Jilin-1 satellites are designed for regional surveying with sub-meter resolution, capable of identifying individual aircraft on runways and distinguishing between THAAD and Patriot battery configurations from orbit. The second source is commercially available Western satellite data from providers such as Maxar and Airbus, which MizarVision aggregates.
