Is Netanyahu Already a Ghost Running Israel’s War on Iran? | 21st Century Wire

On the morning of 28 February 2026, as a salvo of Iranian missiles began slamming into Tel Aviv, Benjamin Netanyahu seemed to vanish into a fog of war that felt less like leadership and more like stagecraft. Within days, Tehran’s media were suggesting the Israeli prime minister had been killed or was gravely wounded, with outlets like Tasnim News Agency pushing the story, while Jerusalem briskly dismissed it all as “a lie.”

Between these poles of information warfare, sits a stranger story of a loitering “flying fortress”,  Tel Aviv apartment blocks built atop buried command centres, Netanyahu’s personal doctor doing hasbara on Romanian TV, and a coffee shop video so synthetic that even Elon Musk’s Grok called it a deepfake.

Iran vows to "burn to the ground" the entire US energy infrastructure for strikes on Iranian oil facilities, according to the IRGC. The IRGC has called on all workers to evacuate US oil facilities. Iran will bomb them, along with American military bases, with full force.

The Pentagon confirmed that Israeli strikes on the South Pars oil and gas field in southern Iran were coordinated with the Trump administration.

Oil prices rose to $150 in the Persian Gulf.

Brent crude is above $110. The US market has begun to decline.

🇮🇷The Secret of the 1979 Iranian Revolution – Swiss Policy Research

Why the 1979 Iranian revolution was supported by the United States.
The 1979 Islamic revolution in Iran is often presented as an anti-American and anti-Western revolution. In reality, the 1979 revolution was supported and facilitated by the United States – a fact neither supporters nor opponents of the current Islamic Republic of Iran like to talk about.

Although denied for decades, it is now widely known that in 1953, the United States and Britain overthrew the first democratically elected Prime Minister of Iran, Mohammad Mosaddegh, and re-installed Mohammad Reza Pahlavi as monarch (#shah) or dictatorial governor.

This early “regime change”, code-named Operation Ajax, was driven by Anglo-American oil interests – Mosaddegh planned to nationalize the Iranian oil industry – as well as by an early Cold War fear of increasing Communist influence on politics in #Iran (as in some Western European countries).

Saudi Arabia and Qatar are on fire after Iranian strikes.

Tehran is intensifying attacks on the region's oil infrastructure.

A large fire has been reported at the Qatari port of Ras Laffan following an Iranian attack on an LNG production facility.

Strikes on the Saudi Arabian capital continue. Several strategic facilities have been hit in Riyadh, including a suspected oil facility.
