Israeli forces detonated the Morag Water Station in Rafah today, cutting off water for roughly 70,000 people—one-third of the city's pre-war population.
The station was funded by the Turkish Red Crescent and inaugurated in 2010. In 2025, it had been slated for urgent repairs by Oxfam and Gaza’s water utility.

✉️ Newly released emails show Jeffrey Epstein's involvement in Bitcoin's early development, raising questions about his connections to cryptocurrencies.
Here is what has been revealed:
➡️ MIT Funding: Epstein donated $850,000 to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) between 2002 and 2017. Part of that funded the MIT Digital Currency Initiative (DCI), which helped Bitcoin Core developers during a funding crisis.
➡️ Developer connections: The DCI, which paid Bitcoin developers like Gavin Andresen and Wladimir van der Laan, saw Epstein visit MIT nine times. But he was kept out of the spotlight and only referred to internally as “Voldemort.”
➡️ The Manhattan meeting: Emails show a meeting at Epstein’s Manhattan home with early Bitcoin investor Brock Pierce and former US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers. The discussion centered around Bitcoin’s potential, although Summers expressed concerns about the risks to his reputation if the price fell.
➡️ Steve Bannon link: In 2018, Epstein emailed Breitbart News editor Steve Bannon asking for advice on crypto taxes and campaign finance regulations. Bannon connected him to experts in the field.
➡️ Early crypto research: Epstein’s Amazon logs reveal purchases of books on Bitcoin, Ethereum, blockchain and negotiation strategies in 2017, as he sought to re-establish his network.
📌 Those connections show Epstein’s access to key figures in the crypto world, including developers, regulators and investors. While he did not control Bitcoin, his involvement suggest a closer relationship with its development than previously known.

Exploiting the libwebp Vulnerability, Part 1: Playing with Huffman Code | DARKNAVY

Looking into the exploitation of an iOS 16.6 vulnerability. This bug was exploited in-the-wild as part of a Pegasus chain and has publicly referred to as 'blastpass'.
The bug is CVE-2023-41064 - an issue when decoding webp files, leading to a limited out-of-bounds write primitive.
we'll focus only on the exploitation techniques, not the bug itself as this has been documented extensively online already.
We'll look at how the attackers cleverly target heap metadata in the target process to upgrade the basic primitive into a much more powerful use-after-free on a CFSet backing buffer. Then we'll see how they partially corrupt one of the object pointers within the set to make it point to fully controlled data, where they prepare a fake CFReadStream object to ultimately get code execution.
