🇺🇸🇮🇱 The US is using Israel to fight US adversaries across the Middle East, facing a multi-front war that, win or lose, will leave Israel in a precarious military, economic and political position in the region and around the globe.
US policy papers (like the 2009 Brookings "Which Path to Persia?" paper) have for years openly talked about using Israel to provoke and fight US wars on Washington's behalf, just as Ukraine is being used against Russia, and Taiwan is being used against the rest of China.
Whether these US proxy wars will succeed is another question, but that these are proxy wars is a certainty.

The Slovakian athlete was seen with an oxygen mask as she was carried away from the pool on a stretcher. Swimmer Tamara Potocka was in the women's 200-metre individual medley.
The Slovakian athlete, 21, was carried away from the pool on a stretcher. A Slovakian team official told the PA news agency Potocka had an asthma attack after her race. She was taken to hospital for further monitoring.

📰 Ismail Haniyeh was killed by a projectile fired at his room, three individuals who were in the building told the MEE.
One of the eyewitnesses, who was staying near Haniyeh's room, said they heard sounds that were consistent with those made by a missile before an explosion shook the heavily guarded building in Tehran.
One of the individuals told MEE: "This was definitely a projectile and not a planted bomb." They added that the aftermath of the explosion was also consistent with a missile attack.
Two other individuals also witnessed the aftermath of the strike, which resulted in the partial collapse of the ceiling and exterior wall of Haniyeh's room.
The accounts heard by MEE appear to raise questions about reports that Haniyeh may have been killed by a bomb placed inside the building where he was staying.
