🇵🇸 Six days that changed the Middle East: The 1967 Arab-Israeli War | AJ Documentary - 2023
The June 1967 War was a milestone in the Arab-Israeli conflict, with consequences still felt across the region to this day.
It altered the political and military landscape, expanded Israel’s territorial claims and confirmed Israel's military dominance in the region.
This war is known to Arabs as 'The War in June' and in Israel as 'The Six Day War'. It came just two decades after the 1948 '#Nakba,' or catastrophe, when the state of Israel was established and hundreds of thousands of Palestinians were expelled from their homes and land.
‘The War in June’ looks at the roots of the 1967 War and documents the actual details of six days of battle, before considering the profound long-term consequences of this conflict which led to Black September and the expulsion of Palestinian factions from Jordan to Lebanon.

🎥 Palestinian photojournalist Motaz Azaiza has left the Gaza Strip and headed to Qatar.
In an emotional video, he said of his press jacket “This is the last time you will see me with this heavy, stinky vest."
Azaiza has been instrumental in providing live updates from the besieged enclave to his more than 18 million Instagram followers and over a million followers on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.
According to the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), 83 journalists and media workers have been confirmed dead, the vast majority Palestinians, while the Euro Med Monitor rights group has listed 119 journalists killed in Gaza

It’s funny seeing all these space loving anarchists calling our government pedos. Nasa is basically a nambla convention. They only use telescopes if they’re really desperate to shove up their asses in a pinch.

Excuse me but no, a country that routinely uses white phosphorous to burn and maim children, and send them to their early grave, to a life of handicap of to excruciating pain does not have a right to exist.
Any country that practices systemic, deliberate, continual sadism and brutality against people does not have a right to exist.
And in even broader terms: any political organization that does not have justice at its core not only does not have a right to exist, it is our right and duty to bring about its demise.
This is because political organizations, which is what all countries are, are not divine entities that we must protect religiously. The opposite is true: the only reason for the existence of any political organization is promoting what is good and just for people.
This is'nt just me saying: morality and justice are ingrained into the essence of what is human. We love fairness and hate injustice. This is how we are made (all complaints should be addressed to the manufacturer).
This is why this genocidal campaign is a huge self-delegitimization move on behalf of the west: most people will hate what is perceived as unjust and those who enable it, and no amount of manipulation, false reasoning and shadowbanning can change it.
-
This does not only, and must not apply only to Israel. This is universal, and it is on all of us to channel the energy generated by this catastrophe into a global movement, or quest, for justice and humanity, rather than wasteful partisan nonsense. We must never go back to being asleep.
This is also why South Africa's appeal to the ICJ is so commendable and pivotal: it forces a major international player to face justice, and it breaks the mold as part of which countries mutually forgive each other's inhumanity, for the sake of a status quo that only benefits respective elites.
I guess when you have freed yourself from apartheid you can't be part of the corrupt game anymore; which is why I'm sure Palestinians will become global leaders on justice when they get finally get theirs

"Kiev Showed True Colors - Russian Ministry of Defense
The plane shot down by two Ukrainian Armed Force missiles today was transporting 65 Ukrainian military personnel for exchange, along with six crew and three Russian military personnel.
The crew and all passengers of the plane were killed.
According to the previously reached agreement, the event was to take place in the afternoon at a border checkpoint. The Russian DefMin. said the "Nazi Kiev regime" attempted to blame Russia for the attack on Ukrainian military personnel.
By committing this terrorist attack, the Ukrainian leadership showed its true colors - it neglected the lives of its citizens."

If it was Ukraine that shot the plane down, killing all on board (including 65 captured Ukrainian soldiers), it would not be the first time Ukraine intentionally murdered its own soldiers.
I was in Donetsk the morning that Ukraine fired on Yelenovka detention centre, south of Donetsk. With other journalists, hours after the shelling, I went to the centre & saw (and smelled) the ghastly burned bodies of dozens of Ukrainian POWs killed by the Ukrainian shelling.

❌ Fake: An Il-76 military aircraft was shot down by Russian air defenses over the Belgorod region. This information is reported by certain Ukrainian and opposition telegram channels.
✅ Truth: The plane was shot down as a result of an attack by the AFU. This information was promptly confirmed, including by the Ukrainian side, cutting a source in the General Staff of the AFU.
At the same time, Kiev took responsibility for the downed aircraft, motivated this by the alleged presence of S-300 missiles on board. However, this information has not been confirmed. There is also no evidence in the footage from the crash site of 8-meter rockets or containers for their transportation.
There were 65 Ukrainian prisoners of war on board the plane, being transported to the Belgorod region for further exchange. It is worth noting that this aircraft has already been used in previous exchanges. Furthermore, the military personnel of the AFU should have been aware of the upcoming exchange.

🇵🇸 The Battle of Al Karameh معركة الكرامة | 1968 | Palquest
The battle of Al Karameh took place on 21 March 1968, in and around the small Jordanian town of al-Karama , in the Jordan Valley north of the Dead Sea . The battle involved invading Israeli forces and a combination of Palestinian guerrilla fighters (fedayeen) and forces from the Jordanian army. It was the first major Israeli invasion into Arab territory since the end of the 1967 War .
Although the Israeli army succeeding in destroying the fedayeen base at al-Karama, it suffered relatively heavy losses in the process, and the news of vastly outnumbered and outgunned fedayeen standing and fighting instead of retreating led to a massive upsurge in publicity and support for the Palestinian resistance movement, and Fatah in particular, launching it into the leadership of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) the following year.
The battle thus became a key moment in the development of the Palestinian resistance movement. At the same time, it set the stage for a confrontation between Palestinian guerrilla organizations and the Jordanian state, which would come to a head in the events of September 1970.
