Geneva - The South African legal team and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) were provided with an initial memorandum from Euro-Med Monitor yesterday detailing the most prominent mass graves established in the Gaza Strip during Israelโs ongoing genocide, launched on 7 October.
Euro-Med Monitor has also provided South Africaโs legal team with other memoranda about Israelโs mass killings, targeting of the Gaza Stripโs health sector, and various outcomes of the genocidal war against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip since South Africa submitted an application to institute proceedings against Israel on 29 December 2023. South Africa is charging Israel with genocide in the Strip, citing Israeli violations under the Genocide Convention.

A year of surveillance in France: a short satirical tale by La Quadrature du Net
Looking back to France in 2023, what do we see? Implementation of new technologies such as drones, DNA marking or new generation of spywares. Also, an intensification of political surveillance, either by law enforcement deploying disproportionate means of investigations towards environmental activists or intelligence services using cameras or GPS beacons to spy on places or people that they find too radical. It was also the year of the โ8 Decemberโ case, a judicial case where among other things, encrypted communications of the prosecuted persons were considered as signs of "clandestinity" that reveal criminal intentions.

A lot of ignorance in the comments from people who lack any understanding of LATAM & US foreign policy.
This is the direct consequence of neoliberalism via US interference after Correa was ousted which led to the entire collapse of the country. Today it is one of the most insecure and violent countries in the world. Statistics prove this via a homocide increase of over 500%. Correaโs government protected Julian Assange until he was betrayed by Moreno. The FBI and CIAโs presence plus a bowing down to US foreign policy led to this. The mass exodus of people from Ecuador is largely left unspoken, but itโs happening. Again the playbook is the same. Destabilize countries, crush them, people leave and resources are extracted for the west. Meanwhile the people of these countries are blamed as the problem, when we know itโs the elite agencies.

The Israeli Government Advertising Agency has sponsored an advert accusing South Africa of โmalicious blood libelโ on Google.
Blood libel is a reference to antisemitic lies originating in the Middle Ages that Jews murdered Christian boys to use their blood for religious rituals.
When users search for "ICJ hearing" and related phrases, the advert appears at the top of Googleโs results pages.
In its first line, the advert on Google reads: "The malicious blood libel advanced by South Africa seeks to slander the State of Israel."
The link on Google directs users to a website run by the Israel National Digital Agency, which says that โIsrael experienced a catastrophic act of genocide when armed Hamas terrorists invaded the country via land, air, and sea"
