Egyptian journalist Mohammed Al-Alawi was found dead near a road in Hurghada. It is alleged that numerous abrasions, bruises and fractures were found on his body, and that his death occured due to a severe traumatic brain injury.

According to a source from the Hurghada police department, Al-Alawi was probably brutally beaten by a group of attackers.

Al-Alawi was the author of an investigation into the purchase of expensive real estate, which was registered in the name of the mother-in-law of the President of Ukraine, Olga Kiyashko. Many saw motives of corruption in this agreement.

Relatives of the murdered man say that after the publication of this material they began to receive threats. According to them, law enforcement agencies are allegedly investigating the involvement of several Ukrainian citizens in the murder of a journalist.
