DHS Censorship Agency Had Strange First Mission: Banning Speech That Casts Doubt On “Red Mirage, Blue Shift” Election Events
Last week, The Intercept published a set of leaks that drew broad interest in perhaps the most undercovered scandal inside the US gov: the DHS's quiet move to establish, for the first time in US history, an explicitly inward-facing domestic censorship bureau.
What The Intercept glimpsed, however, is just the tip of a much larger iceberg.
The size, scale and speed of DHS’s censorship operation are vastly larger than what’s been reported. Below are seven bottom-line figures summarizing the scope of censorship carried out by DHS speech control partners, as compiled from their own reports and videos:
-22 Million tweets labeled “misinfo” on Twitter;
-859 Million tweets collected in databases for “misinformation” analysis;
-120 analysts monitoring social media “misinformation” in up to 20-hour shifts;
-15 tech platforms monitored for “misinfo” often in real-time;
- <1 hour average response time between gov partners and tech platforms;
-Dozens of “misinformation narratives” targeted for platform-wide throttling; and
-Hundreds of millions of individual Facebook posts, YouTube videos, TikToks, and tweets impacted, due to “misinfo” TOS policy changes that DHS partners openly plotted and bragged tech companies would never have done without DHS partner insistence and “huge regulatory pressure” from government.
The citations above are from just the DHS censorship network’s impact on the 2020 election cycle alone. That was two years ago, when the narrative management machine referenced by The Intercept was first getting formed. Even the above figures, however, just scratch the surface of the full story
At Foundation for Freedom Online, for 6 months we have been publishing and sharing research findings about a wide span of shocking components to DHS’s speech control operations. Our investigation has spurred multiple members of Congress to vow aggressive probes into DHS’s “government censorship by proxy.”
This story has two main institutional sides: the government within DHS and the non-governmental side consisting of a web of like-minded private sector and civil society partners. Together, this network forms the DHS public-private censorship network that is the subject of this report.
The key coordinating hub for the government side is an “obscure government agency” named CISA, which is tucked within DHS, created in 2018 nominally to defend America against cybersecurity threats from hostile foreign actors (e.g., Russian hackers).
CISA’s mission was supposed to be cyber security. Not cyber censorship.
But a funny thing happened on the way to the 2020 election.
First, on Jan 6, 2017, outgoing Obama DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson designated “election infrastructure” as being “critical infrastructure” under the purview of DHS protection. This designation, borne out of unsubstantiated claims that Russia had just stolen, hacked or otherwise materially interfered with the 2016 election, tasked DHS with protecting election-related structure, such as polling places, voting machines and computer systems.
CISA’s Internet censorship power grew out of interpreting “critical infrastructure” beyond its hard physical meaning to apply to meta-physical concepts. By 2019, “foreign disinformation” on social media was increasingly framed as a “cyber threat” to election infrastructure.
Through this framing mechanism, CISA’s “cybersecurity” authority morphed into a “cybercensorship” authority. However, this move was initially limited to CISA only targeting “foreign disinformation”, through DHS’s Countering Foreign Influence Task Force.
But when the 2016 election-era “Russian interference” Special Prosecutor’s probe ended in July 2019 with former FBI Director Robert Mueller’s failure to find “collusion” between then-President Trump and outside Russians, DHS and CISA began to change their tunes.

Collapsed Cryptocurrency Exchange FTX Had Ties to Ukrainian Government, WEF, and Top Biden Adviser
FTX had some eye-opening connections to powerful entities and individuals around the world before it all came crashing down.
FTX made waves with early endorsements by NFL legend Tom Brady, supermodel Gisele Bundchen, and NBA superstar Stephen Curry. FTX spent big money on a Super Bowl commercial featuring "Seinfeld" creator Larry David.
Then the FTX collapse happened.
The NYT noted, "Despite raising $2 billion, he remained the majority owner of the company. No investors joined FTX’s board of directors, which was made up of Mr. Bankman-Fried, an FTX employee and a lawyer."
SBF gives millions to DNC
MarketWatch reported, "SBF contributed more than $5 million to Joe Biden and groups supporting him during his 2020 presidential campaign. He said he was motivated by Biden’s 'generic stability and decision-making process.'"
SBF gave Democrats nearly $37 million in the 2021-2022 election cycle, according to OpenSecrets. SBF was the second-biggest individual donor to Democrats, only to be surpassed by $128 million from George Soros.
In May, SBF said he expected to donate "north of $100 million" to Democrats in 2024 but vowed to have a "soft ceiling" of political spending of $1 billion if DJT ran again.
SBF goes to the White House
The Washington Free Beacon reported that SBF met with top Biden adviser Steve Ricchetti on April 22 and May 12, according to White House visitor logs. Gabe Bankman-Fried – SBF's brother who handles the billionaire's political operations – visited the White House on March 7.
SBF largely funded the Democratic Protect Our Future PAC that only launched in May 2022. SBF's brother said the PAC was formed to "stop the next pandemic."
SBF's mother is also a major fundraiser for Democrats
Barbara Fried, is a Stanford professor, and has "written extensively on questions of distributive justice, in the areas of tax policy, property theory, and political theory." She is also the co-founder of the Mind the Gap political action committee that was established in 2018 to help the DNC win elections.
Vox published a glowing article about Mind the Gap in January 2020 titled: "Inside the secretive Silicon Valley group that has funneled over $20 million to Democrats."
"The group’s leaders are a pair of Stanford law professors: Barbara Fried, who has no apparent campaign experience, and Paul Brest, the former president of the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. Graham Gottlieb, a Stanford fellow who served in junior roles for former President Barack Obama’s 2012 reelection campaign and in his White House, is its executive director."
"Backers include people like Facebook co-founder Dustin Moskovitz, former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, San Francisco power broker Ron Conway, and a coterie of major Democratic donors from across Silicon Valley, including fundraiser Amy Rao."
The FTX connection to the Ukrainian government and WEF
Curiously, the Ukrainian gov launched a cryptocurrency donation website in March that was backed by FTX.
CoinDesk reported in March, "'Aid for Ukraine,' which has the backing of crypto exchange FTX, staking platform Everstake, and Ukraine’s Kuna exchange, will route donated crypto to the National Bank of Ukraine, Everstake’s Head of Growth Vlad Likhuta told CoinDesk. Ukraine’s crypto-savvy Ministry of Digital Transformation is also involved."
An Everstake press release stated, "Aid For Ukraine is cooperating with the cryptocurrency exchange FTX which converts crypto funds received into fiat and sends the donations to the National Bank of Ukraine. This marks the first-ever instance of a cryptocurrency exchange directly cooperating with a public financial entity to provide a conduit for crypto donations. Earlier this month, FTX already converted $1 million worth of SOL and transferred it to the National Bank of Ukraine."
The World Economic Forum (WEF) lists FTX as a partner, and provides a link to the exchange's website.

The FTX Foundation Supported and Funded 'Trial of the Year award winning TOGETHER Trial' Used to 'Prove' Ivermectin Ineffective
As reported in May 2022, The FTX Foundation proudly announced "financial support for the global expansion of the TOGETHER Trial on the same day that the trial investigators receive the prestigious Trial of the Year Award from the Society for Clinical Trials (SCT) in San Diego.
Each year the SCT presents one award for a randomized clinical trial published the previous year that best exemplifies five key criteria including improvements to humankind and provides a basis for substantial and beneficial changes to health care. The TOGETHER Trial is the largest placebo-controlled COVID-19 trial and has, so far, evaluated 11 different treatments for COVID-19. On May 16, the TOGETHER trial receives the award and announces more than $18 million in funding and purchase commitments from the FTX Foundation that will enable the expansion of the trial from Brazil and Canada, to include experienced sites in South Africa, Rwanda, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Bahamas, Pakistan, Vietnam, and Ghana.
"We are incredibly honoured to receive this award and to work with the FTX Foundation. The TOGETHER Trial is truly an international collaboration and this award is a tribute to the entire team and also the patients who participated," said Dr. Edward Mills, Co-principal investigator, TOGETHER Trial, Professor, Health Research Methods, Evidence and Impact, McMaster University. "COVID-19 is an unprecedented modern-day pandemic that called for a bold, novel and innovative approach. Partnering with innovative thinkers at the FTX Foundation allows the rapid expansion of our trial that will have major benefits to public health around the world. With the support of the FTX Foundation, we can now also start evaluating drugs for future pandemics." ...
The unique partnership now between the FTX Foundation and the TOGETHER Trial has already had a direct effect on the way global clinical research is conducted, bringing about substantial positive health care changes that will be felt well beyond the COVID-19 era.
The TOGETHER Trial consortium additionally includes representatives from the World Health Organization (WHO) Clinical Guidance Committee on COVID-19 Therapeutics. The TOGETHER Trial is also supported by funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, FastGrants for COVID-19 Research, the Rainwater Charitable Foundation, and Unitaid."
The outcome of the TOGETHER trial, funded by FTX, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, among others, were headlines such as "Largest Ivermectin Trial Fails to Show Benefit in COVID Outpatients" and "Ivermectin Does Not Reduce Risk of Covid Hospitalization, Large Study Finds" and "Jury’s in for ivermectin: 'No clinical significance.' "

Syrian Ministry of Defense: The Israeli enemy carried out an air aggression at 28:23 from the direction of Tripoli - Hermel in northern Lebanon, targeting the Shua'ayrat military airport in Homs countryside.
Our air defenses shot down some of the enemy missiles while the aggression led to the martyrdom of two soldiers and the wounding of three others, besides material losses.

How "convenient" as Erdogan is making overtures towards Syria and President Assad. Blaming PKK facilitates further incursions into Syria and serves the terrorist factions who have been infuriated by Erdogan's "betrayal". Note how fast White Helmets "condemned" the attack while (always) ignoring Israeli aggression.
