Pushtimarg:

Pusti Bhakti is the grace of God and is of four kinds
Vallabhacharya’s philosophy came to be known as Pushtimarga (the path of grace).

1. Pravaha Pustibhakti worldly life but move with awareness to attain God
2. Maryada Pustibhakti withdrawing from the world and devote themselves to God
3. Pusti-Pustibhakti enjoying God's grace and attempt to acquire knowledge.
4. Suddha-Pustibhakti devotes themselves to the singing and praising of God

According to this philosophy, Krishna is the supreme being, the source of everything that exists, human soul is imbued with Krishna's divine light and spiritual liberation results from Krishna's grace.

The school rejects ascetic lifestyle, and cherishes householder lifestyle wherein the followers see themselves as participants and companions of Krishna and their daily life as an ongoing rasalila of his creation.

Its followers – called Pushtimargis or Pushtimargiya Vaishnavas – are generally found in northern and western India, particularly in and around Rajasthan and Gujarat, as well as its regional diaspora around the world.

The Shrinathji Temple in Nathdwara – north of Udaipur – is their main shrine, that traces its origin in 1669, when the subtradition lived in fear and felt persecuted by the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb.

This Nathdwara temple is one of the wealthiest and more elaborate shrines of Krishna in India

Narsimhavarman I or Mamalla is well known for his temple-building activities. In the Mahendra style, they are thick, heavy and cubical in shape with corbel capitals. As a departure, this style displays their better proportion. They are tall, slender, more ornamented and appear elegant.

On their base, we find leogryph (lion-headed creature) or vyala motif. These simha vyalas are shown in a seated position providing support to the pillars.

Hence, this style introduced a very vital feature of the Pallava architecture i.e. the pillars adorned with simha vyala images.
A crucial development in the field of Pallava architecture occurred during this style.

It witnessed a steady transition from the rock-cut style to the construction of monolithic structures. He is well-known for the construction of the seven pagodas or the monolithic rathas at ahabalipuram/Mamallapuram (Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu). These rathas are built out of monolithic rock.

These are 10 in number out of which the five rathas – commonly known as pancha pandava rathas – are of more significance. These pancha rathas are: the Draupadi ratha, Dharmaraja ratha, Bhima ratha, Arjuna ratha, and Nakul-Sahdeva
